I was lucky in that I grew up in a unitarian branch of the Advent Christian faith - learning from a young age that God is only ONE and that humanity is mortal and must wait till the Resurrection of the Dead to obtain immortality as a free gift from God. Still I lost touch with my faith for many years in my early adulthood and drifted among the world. However I felt pulled back to it some years later and now am committed to doing everything I can to advance and proclaim knowledge of the coming Kingdom of God, Jesus as God's Messiah and King of that kingdom (but not God as Yahweh his and our Father is alone truly God), and that at death man does not go off to heaven or hell, but simply is non-existent in the grave until the return of the Messiah and the Resurrection of the dead.
