Here’s the next section (Part 2) on death.
Biblical Common Sense – Death – Who Possesses Immortality?
One might ask, is anyone naturally in possession of immortality? Yes! Scripture in fact clearly indicates who already has immortality.
1 Timothy 1:17 “Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.”
1 Timothy 6:15-16 “which He will bring about at the proper time– He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.”

Finally, after way too long of a delay since posting the first third (about Jesus) of my lengthy paper entitled “A Common Sense Approach to the Biblical Presentation of Jesus, Death, & THE Devil”, here is the 2nd main topic – DEATH.
Like the first section on Jesus (started on KR here: Biblical Common Sense – Intro – What & Why), this has several sub-sections that are best published in smaller, easier to read sections here on KR. So for my next several posts, I’ll add the sections that follow one another. I’ll also try to provide all the links at the end of each post to the entire series just for reference.

Alright, time for me to get back on track and start the New Year right with a post in Week #1! So here we go with something short & easy.
Before Christmas I uncovered in a packed-away attic box – a TON more pamphlets, books, leaflets, and other treasures of theology that my parents had collected back in their day. There’s a ton of stuff from individuals, Advent Christian publishers, The Restitution Herald (in Oregon Illinois), and the Layman’s Home Missionary Movement. This particular one here is from the Layman’s – or LHMM for short. There’s no copyright or published date on it so I’m not sure from when it originates. But I’d guess from the 1940′s – 1960′s. I saw the title listed on another site associated with the LHMM, but not the actual content of the piece. Therefore I thought I would re-publish it to the world-wide-web for all to enjoy.

I was taking a break from most everything when I was out-of-town on vacation last week. This week I’m taking a break from getting into the second section of my paper/series to post something I ran across on the web awhile back. While I haven’t fully had a chance to dig real deep into this site’s content, what I have found I believe to be quite good.
The site I’m talking about is called “The Trinity Delusion” and you can find it at this address: http://www.angelfire.com/space/thegospeltruth/trinity.html

Sometimes in life when working in the christian field of helps and counseling we run into many different situation. Many times people will say one thing and mean another, or tell you something that not exactly true, you know Lie to you. Many time even when lying people will either convince themselves what they are saying is true or actually believe from the being, this is called being deceived and it is usually a form of ignorance or lack of understanding. It can be very hard to deal with people on this level, I know in times past I would be frustrated and even angry with people whom I felt were being deceptive.

In the last two article I wrote I talked about feeling the emotion, pain, and feelings of other. Also how the root of this stemmed from Jesus and his ministry. I would like to relate more as to what kind of affect Jesus should have on us especially with his departure from Earth. Yet Jesus still has an ever growing connection to mankind. It seems that the question is always, are God and Jesus present, or is it because we just allow them to exist simply in our minds? Are they physically present? How real is the presents of Yahweh (GOD) and the roll and presences of Yahushua (Messiah) Jesus our Lord and Savior? I ask is the weight that we put on knowledge sacrificing our actual spirituality? Is the weight that is put on analyzing the scripture, with our own minds drowning or at least quenching the spirit with in us? The verses below present an interesting view. Is the Love of God present in our lives, which includes our Love for God, and our belief in His son(Or Faith In), our belief in who he was and what was his mission was will directly affects our purpose and mission in life, and most important our status to the coming Kingdom.

We’ve had some discussion concerning the legitimacy of various parts of the New Testament here on KR of late. And instead of it continuing to have a life of its own on that particular thread of a different subject (The Trinity), I thought I might create a new topic thread more appropriately on the subject itself.

Unfortunetly I have noticed a sad trend in our churches. We have some on one side who are serious about seeking truth and understanding doctrinal matters. We have some on another side who are serious about living the simple truths of Jesus’ teaching. The sad and unfortunate trend that I have observed is that thes two sides often are in opposition to one another. The doctrinal side demeans the practical side because they don’t know the truth or seem to have a hunger to search the Scriptures. The practical side demeans the practical side because they are only concerned about knowing things and not doing things.

Going way WAY back into some old-school literature this week with a pamphlet that is 65 YEARS OLD! This one-time radio sermon was broadcast just a few months after the close of World War II in November of 1945! I thought I would bring this sermon tract into the digital age and give it new life as it is a great explanation of how Paul’s famous expression is NOT a support for the immortal soul belief - but is instead a Resurrection truth like all of Paul’s other writings.
Enjoy!
