Formatting Comments

When making comments it is available to use some neat formatting features. This blog does not use specialized formatting like message boards, rather it takes advantage of standard html. Below are instructions on how to use html in your comments.

  • to indent (as when quoting another’s comment or a Bible reference) type: <blockquote>text</blockquote> and it will look like this

    text

  • to bold type <strong>text</strong>
  • to italicize type <em>text</em>
  • to underline type <u>text</u>
  • to make a link type <a href=”url”>where url is the website</a>
(please note: if you include two or more links in your comment it will automatically go to spam. If this happens to you, either email us (moderators@kingdomready.us) or else only put one link per comment.)
  • unfortunately bulleted or numbered lists do not work in the comments

How hard would it be to allow someone to “preview” their own post before actually posting it?

Sometimes the specialized tags don’t show up correctly (boldfacing half the comment) or it just doesn’t show up the way it was expected after hitting “Submit Comment”

It would probably contribute to a higher quality of posts if it was possible to preview comments (since the interface does not allow comments to be deleted.)

    Andrew,

At this time we are not able to preview comments; this is a limitation of the current version of WordPress we are using. Please use this area of the site to test out formatting.

I’ve been a reader of this blog for quite a time and although I realize that it is uppermost on the minds of those who leave comments to contend with the fact that the trinity is not in the Bible. It seems to me the most important issue really should be focused on whether or not people know the Lord Jesus Christ, which IS the only way to God, the Father. I see little to nothing mentioned about the sacrifice of innocent blood paid on the cross by our Lord Jesus Christ and the trusting in His finished work to keep us in relationship with the Father. It really is about what He did to give us this hope of salvation. Excuse me if I’m wrong, but it’s beginning to sound to me like it’s about us and even though right believing is very important, let’s look to the cross and the finished work for us and the rest will straighten itself out. The Holy Spirit is able to shed truth abroad in our hearts as we follow God through the Lord Jesus Christ. Let’s get back to the basics as Paul said “God forbid I claim to know anything other than Christ and Him crucified”.

Interesting, I’ve checked out all of the articles in the achives and I cannot find one on the blood of Jesus. Does everyone on this site believe that we could have had a relationship with the Father without the shedding of innocent blood? It seems to be insignificant to many that Jesus gave His life so we could find ours.

Would it help if I use another email to keep my comments from going into spam and having to be moderated all the time?

I’m testing the horizontal line thing. It didn’t work first time round. Maybe I need to end it?

My mistake. I want to try again. If there is no horizontal rule this time, I will give up.
