Exodus 34:6 and 7 Yahweh’s self-description

"Yahweh, Yahweh God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in loving kindness and truth; who keeps loving kindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations."
Nehemiah 9:1-38 The prophet declares the historical documentation of the Yahweh’s great compassion.

Psalms 103:1-18
Language representing the infinite and immeasurable is used to describe Yahweh’s compassion.

Psalms 145: 6-11
We tend to forget God’s extraordinary mercy and compassion, which is devastating to our wellbeing.

Isaiah 55:6-13
Everyone benefits from the mercy and compassion of God. When we acknowledge and experience His compassion, life is good. When we are oblivious to it, we become hardened, miserable, and defeated
Joel 2:13 “And rend your heart and not your garments. Now return to the LORD your God, For He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in loving-kindness and relenting of evil.”
Focus on the world which is an evil warzone and focus on people or self will cause callousness, cold-heartedness or heartlessness. God has low tolerance for people in such a state.
