Notes:

God has freely supplied all that man needs to live life abundantly. Everything from Him is gift. We have a responsibility to give to Him.

Israel Gave To God

Exodus 13:2, 12-15; 22:29 and 30 Israel owed God their firstborn and firstfruits.

Leviticus 7:35-38 They were to offer sacrifices to Yahweh.

FIVE FREEWILL OFFERINGS:
- Burnt
- Grain/meal
- Sin
- Guilt/trespass
- Peace

Leviticus 23:1-3, 37 and 38 They were to give Him their time with the weekly Sabbaths and the three annual feasts.
- Unleavened bread
- Firstfruits/Pentecost
- Booths/Tabernacles

We too can and should give to God!

Give Praise and Thanks

Psalms 147:1 Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant and praise is becoming.

Hebrews 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Give Tithes and Offerings

Proverbs 3:5-10 Honor Yahweh from your wealth and from the first of all your produce.

Philippians 4:14-20 Our tithes and offerings are a sacrifice acceptable and well pleasing to God.

2 Corinthians 9:6 and 7 When we are generous, God is blessed

2 Corinthians 9:9-15 Our giving blesses God and gives others cause to give thanks to him. We want to be a generous church like those in Corinth.

Serve Your Fellowman

Romans 12:1 Present yourself a living sacrifice, which is your spiritual service of worship.
- Prayer is vital.
- Encourage one another. A smile, kind word, a hug can do a lot for people. Greet one another with a kiss of love.
- Serve one another. Get busy serving one another. In addition to prayer and love, we need help with physical work. This is your church; invest in it! If you want to feel more a part of things, volunteer to serve. We need help!
- Evangelize. Main Street Mission

Ephesians 6:5-8 We are to be always serving the Lord...your servants for Christ's sake.

Share the Gospel

Luke 15:1-10 When someone repents and turns to God, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God.

Give Glory to God by the Way You Live

Matthew 24:32-51 Now is the time to serve, not when our Lord comes back − then is too late.

Matthew 25:14-30 In the day, you want to hear, "Well done good and faithful slave." You do not want to hear, "Throw out the worthless slave into the outer darkness."
