9:1-3 Paulís love and concern for Israel were in harmony with Godís.

Yahweh blessed and honored them above all people.

The biological connection to Abraham was not enough. The children of the promise are regarded as descendants.

God is never unjust; He always honors manís self determination.

Israel needed not to do anything other than believe in the work God had done through Christ (something no man Ė Jew or gentile Ė could do for himself).

Israel rejected Godís plan.

God did not reject Israel; rather, Israel rejected Yahweh.

A remnant has always existed.

11:6-32
Gentiles need to have and maintain the right attitude or they too will be cut off.

11:33-36
Godís wisdom and knowledge are way beyond ours.
