Romans 1:16 and 17
– The faithfulness of God leads a man to faith.

Habakkuk 2:1-4
– The righteous live by faith because their focus is upon Yahweh and His promises and not upon self or others.

Hebrews 10:23-25
We have faith in His faithfulness.

Psalm 89:1-3
Yahweh made a covenant with David, and the psalmist (who is living in a time when it seems that God is no longer keeping the covenant) reminds God of the covenant. However, there are two parts to every covenant.

Psalm 89:4
A covenant is a solemn binding agreement between two parties.

6
– Angels are called sons in Job 1:6; 2:1.

7
– According to Revelation 4 and 5, four living creatures, 24 elders and myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands of angels are around His throne.

9
– Creation declares His faithfulness. Psalm 146:6

25-28
– David is a type for Jesus as King. Many times when the Scriptures are talking about David, prophecy specific to Jesus enters in without our notice as is the case here. The covenant that God made with David will be fulfilled with Jesus.

33
– David’s descendants turned from Yahweh and worshipped other gods.

34-37
Yahweh will keep His covenant even if it takes thousands of years because He is faithful. Jeremiah 33:19-26

52
– This psalm was written during the time Israel was in Babylonian captivity, when all looked lost; however, Yahweh remained faithful and had and has a plan.

2 Kings 24:6-16; 25:27-30
Jehoiachin was spared to carry out the covenant.

Psalm 36:5

Hebrews 6:18; Numbers 23:19; Titus 1:2
God is not a man that He should lie.
