Notes:

THE SCRIPTURE CAME BY THE SPIRIT

Galatians 1:6-9 In 2 Corinthians 11:14-15, Paul warns that Satan and his angels can represent themselves as angels of light. Paul uses strong language because he is dealing with a life-and-death issue.

1 Timothy 4:1-2 Deceitful spirits attack God's Word.

Galatians 1:11-12 The gospel of Christ is through the revelation of Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 1:20-21 Men moved by the holy spirit spoke for God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed.

Jeremiah 36:1-8, 15-19, 22-24, 27-31

THE SCRIPTURES ARE UNDERSTOOD BY THE SPIRIT

1 Corinthians 2:9-14 One must have the spirit to understand the Scripture; natural man cannot understand.

THE SCRIPTURES ARE THE POWER OF GOD

Romans 1:16 The gospel is the power of God for salvation.

1 Thessalonians 2:13 The Word of God works effectually in those who believe.

Hebrews 4:12 The Word of God is living and active.

Ephesians 6:17 The Word of God is the sword of the spirit.

Psalms 57:4-6; 64:1-10; 140:1-8 Words are powerful. God's words are most powerful.

Matthew 4:1-11 Jesus spoke God's Word to resist the devil.
