Notes:

Luke 10:17-20 Jesus prioritized their thinking. "Names recorded in heaven" implies that Yahweh knows them, and they are in the book of eternal life.

Luke 10: 21-24 Jesus rejoiced because he had meek disciples who received truth and shared with others.

Luke 10:25-28 He understood the essence of the Law which was love. Jesus, and later Paul, summarized the whole of the Law into these two commandments. Jesus was not saying keep the Law, and you will be saved; rather, he was saying to live lovingly.

Mark 10:17-22 He said to eliminate that which hinders us from true discipleship and follow him. If we want to inherit eternal life, we must accept the lordship of Jesus Christ and live accordingly. Jesus loved him, so he told him the truth.

John 12:20-26 We must die to self and serve and follow Jesus.

John 5:24 He who hears and believes will be saved. What does it mean to have faith or to believe?

Matthew 25:31-46 Jesus is giving specifics regarding what he said to the lawyer about loving.

Romans 2:6-11 Have the rules changed?

Romans 6:23 The wages of sin have always been death, and the gift of God, eternal life.

Romans 10:9 and 10 If you are not able to see that the lordship of Christ consists of a lifestyle and not a onetime confession of faith, then you are deceived.

2Corinthians 5:10; Galatians 6:7-9

Ephesians 2:1-10 Without doubt, we are saved by grace. Redemption and salvation could not be available for man unless Jesus had given himself as the sacrifice for our sin.

Hebrews 5:9; 3:6, 14; 10:23, 35-39 We are to hold fast, that is to persevere, to the end.

Matthew 7:21-29 Lordship of Christ has everything to do with obedience.
