We are in a spiritual war

Jesus was victorious

The devil does not want us to think spiritually because we will be victorious

We Are In a Spiritual War

We learn early in the Bible that the devil is always trying to steal faith from the believers.

The book of Job illustrates this struggle clearly. Faith is flexible. Israel lost faith regularly. The battle is for our faith.

2 Corinthians 11:3 What is behind the scenes? Blind guy in Congo, Anger, loud mouth, introvert

Ephesians 6:10-12 we are in a war which continually rages The great weapon of the devil is to get Christians distracted and forgetful of the warfare because if we are mindful we are powerful, not prefect.

1 Peter 5:8 and 9 be sober and alert because he's coming. Some day more than others we are attacked.

Jesus Knew and was Victorious

Matthew 4 Jesus knew from the beginning that he was in a spiritual warfare and contented accordingly. Jesus withstood the attacks of the devil in the wilderness but the devil came back again. He will until the end.

Matthew 16:23 get thee behind me satan

John 8:44

Mark 5:9 legion -- Go!

Col 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

We Too Can Have Victory

John 14:12

Philippians 4:13 Paul believed he could do whatever he need to do on both ends of the spectrum.

We get discouraged because we struggle or other people struggle however we forget that we are in a constant battle with a powerful, intellectual, experienced opponent that hates us and is relentless. We get a victory today and tomorrow he attacks again. We think I thought I was delivered or healed how come this comes back?

Acts 14:1-ff The apostle Paul was a very spiritual minded person. He understood the spiritual battle and did not seem to forget it unlike most of us.

Hold fast to your faith and do not forget you are in a spiritual battle.
