9: Christ’s Crucifixion & Resurrection

God has the properties of aseity, immortality, and imperishability.

Jesus depended on God during his time on earth and still depends on him even now in heaven.

Jesus died, thus he is not immortal.

Claiming that only impersonal human nature died cheapens our Lord’s sacrifice.

What makes Christ’s death for our sins effective is that God accepts it, not any intrinsic value calculus.

Christ’s resurrection proves he is God’s Messiah, not God himself.

When Thomas said, “my Lord and my God,” he probably referred to the Father who dwelt within Jesus.
