After the Teen Weekend

From December 27th-30th, teens from New York and Rhode Island went to Living Hope and Living Faith’s annual Winter Advance at Frost Valley in Claryville, New York.

The Winter Advance’s theme this year was “Shine” based upon Matthew 5:16. While at the camp, teens heard teachings from other teens and from the camp counselors. They also took part in several activities such as power fellowships and workshops that were designed to help the teens shine the light of God when they go home and are back in their day-to-day routines.

In the afternoons, the teens enjoyed fun activities such as snow tubing, winter games, and fellowshipping with each other. They also participated in an afternoon “Bible Talk” where they discussed topics related to the Bible and their churches. In the evenings, the teens had dinner, evening workshops, and an evening teaching. After the teaching, they participated in team building games and a competition that encouraged the teens to work together and build upon their strengths in the Word.

On Saturday, there was the praise night which glorified God as the teens came together as a family and sang praises to God.
