Theme for 2008: Lovingkindness

Notes:
Exodus 34:6-9 YAHWEH reveals Himself to Moses. He is
abounding in loving kindness.
Numbers 14:17-35 When Israel refused to enter the Promise Land,
Moses reminded God of His loving kindness. His loving kindness is
immense, but it also has limits when the people disregard and
disrespect Him.
Deuteronomy 5:1-10 The loving kindness of God is upon all men
simply because they are on His earth. However, He shows loving
kindness to those who love Him and judgment to those who reject
Him.
Nehemiah 9:13-28 The loving kindness that God continually
extended to Israel is extraordinary.
Psalms 57:9 & 10; 86:5, 15; 103:8, 11; 108:3 & 4; 111:4 & 5;
138:2; 145:8 & 9; Joel 2:13; Jonah 4:2
Romans 2:1-5 Firm confrontation because they were not God-like
in kindness
Luke 6:35 and 36
- God is kind. We are to be godly; therefore, we are to be kind.
- Kindness is to be a way of life giving to all people
- The motivation cannot be recognition or favorable response (Matthew 6:1-3) because the instruction is to give kindness to the ungrateful and evil man.
- Kindness often makes an indelible impact upon people and can cause people to want God
You can grow, and our church will grow light-years if this year we give ourselves to the pursuit of loving kindness.
