Luke 1:24 and 25 Elizabeth was barren and advanced in years; yet, she became
the mother of John.
Luke 1:26-33 Why was Mary chosen?
Matthew 1:1, 16 She was in the right genealogy and was a virgin fitting with the
prophecy.

- Rahab Joshua 6:1-ff
- Ruth Ruth 1:1-ff
- Bathsheba 2 Samuel 11:1-ff
Luke 1:31-38 She had faith and was humble.
Luke 1:39-56 Mary's prophecy sounds very similar to another woman of graceHannah.
1 Samuel 1:9-20 Hannah was also a barren woman whom God had miraculously blessed with the child Samuel.
1 Samuel 2:1-10 Hannah's prayer.
Luke 2:19 After the visit of the shepherds, Mary pondered all these things.
Luke 2:51 After the visitation to Jerusalem when Jesus was 12 years old, Mary stored these things in her heart.
Matthew 13:55-56 Mary had four more sons and at least two daughters.
John 2:1-12 Mary encouraged him at the wedding. It seems Joseph had died.
Mark 3:20, 31-35 His family at this point did not believe in him.
John 7:5 His brothers were not believing.
John 19:25-27 Mary was at the cross.
Acts 1:14 After the ascension, Mary is with the believers waiting for Pentecost.
