Confidence in Christ

Acts 16:6-10 The disciples in the First Century church were confident in the spirit of Christ working in them. With this confidence they spread the Gospel message with great boldness.

The Spirit of Truth, the Helper -- the Paraclete

John 14:16-21 Abide with you forever. Know that the Father and Christ is in you.

John 14:25-26 Teach you all things. Bring the words of Christ to your remembrance.

John 16:13-15 Guide you into the all truth. Disclose the Father and Christ to you.

Romans 10:9 and 10 In order to begin walking by the spirit of God you must first make Jesus Lord.

Luke 6:46-49 If he is truly your Lord, then you will do as he says.

John 14:22-24 As you keep his sayings he will make himself known to you by way of the spirit abiding in you.

John 8:31-32 To be a disciple of Christ, you need to continue in His word. "Let the Word of Christ richly dwell within you..." Colossians 3:16 You must allow the word of Christ to dwell in you. It is your free choice to be led by the spirit. The scriptures were given by way of the spirit of God upon men. (II Peter 1:20-21) They contain the revelation of Jesus Christ (Galatians 1:11-12). Do you know the words of Christ? Walking according to the words of Christ from scripture is walking by the spirit of God. The spirit which dwells in you may guide you beyond what is written, but it will never be at cross purposes with scripture.

John 12:24-26; Galatians 2:20 To truly walk with Christ you need to die to self, and submit to his will.

John 15:1-7; I John 5:14-15 If we walk according to his will, we should walk with confidence and expect to be directed by the spirit of Christ dwelling within.
