Matthew 26:26-29 The new covenant is a covenant of forgiveness.

Romans 3:21-25 With redemption in Christ, our sins are passed over.

Ephesians 1:7 and 8 Through his blood, we have the forgiveness of our trespasses.

Ephesians 2:1-8 By grace we are saved from our sin and the consequences thereof.

Colossians 1:13 and 14; 2:13-15 In him, we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Psalms 103:1-ff Three phrases that describe the degree of forgiveness are:
1) high as the heavens above the earth,
2) as far as the east is from the west,
3) from everlasting to everlasting.

Psalms 136 The loving kindness of Yahweh is everlasting.

Matthew 5:43-45 Be like God -- love your neighbor, which is impossible to do if you have not forgiven.

Matthew 6:12-15 Forgiveness is not optional; rather, it is required.

Matthew 18: 21-ff Jesus emphatically communicated the need to forgive.

Hebrews 12:15 The lack of forgiveness is a root of bitterness.

1John 1:5-2:2 God is faithful and righteous to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
