– According to our Lord, it is possible for one to believe only temporarily. Those who bring forth fruit with patience or endurance are those who having heard the Word keep it (in contrast to those who believe only for a while).

How can we ignore these clear verses?

Ephesians 5:3-6
I once was deceived regarding this subject because I was taught this verse and other similar are not talking about eternal life, rather eternal rewards such as crowns.

1John 2:24 and 25
If we continue, we have eternal life.

Two stewards − one who is faithful and one who is not

The immediate context establishes the fact that Paul’s fear was the possibility of losing salvation, not rewards.
