Matthew 1: 18-25 the phrase the angel of the Lord is frequently in the Old Testament and is always referring to Yahweh.

Genesis 16:6-12

2:15 - Hosea 11:1 referring to Israel coming out of Egypt but also Jesus coming out of Egypt.

Matthew 2:13-19

Matthew 3:1-3 Isaiah 4O:1-8 NASB acknowledges Yahweh when quoting from the OT by putting LORD in caps

Matthew 7: 21-23 the first place in the NT were Lord refers to Jesus. The New Testament is written in Greek and not Hebrew. In the Hebrew the word Adonia is used primarily when speaking about God and Adon when speaking about men.

Mathew 7:23 no distinction is made so we must understand from the context and scope of scriptures and not preconceived doctrines
