God Was in ChristBy Rev. John Cortright on 05/15/2011
II Corinthians 5:18-19
God reconciled the world to Himself through Christ. God was in Christ.
Through the holy spirit, Jesus had power and could do good and heal. God was with him through the holy spirit.
In the same way God worked through Christ, He can be in you. God, through Christ, dwells in His people today by way of the spirit.
The Gospels reveal how God, the Father, worked through His Son, Jesus Christ, by way of the holy spirit.
These things were written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah), the Son of God.
John saw the spirit of God descend upon Jesus. He testified that he is the Son of God.
They believed that Jesus of Nazareth was he of whom Moses and the prophets wrote. They believed he was the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of God.
God gave the spirit to Jesus without measure.
The Samaritan woman believed that he was the Messiah, the one to come.
After the miracle of the loaves and fish, the people said, “This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.”
John 7:21-31; 40-43
The Judeans were debating with one another as to whether or not Jesus was the Christ.
When the Messiah comes, he will heal the blind (Isaiah 29:18; 35:5). The blind man believed.
Jesus walked with God and did His will. Many believed after Lazarus was raised from the dead. (John 12:9-11; 17-19)
