Ephesians 6:10
A raging, relentless spiritual war which is much bigger than we can handle on our own is always at hand; therefore, we must be strong in the Lord.

Ephesians 1:19- 23; 2:4-6
We are united with him at the right hand.

Ephesians 6:11 and 12
Our warfare has three fronts (Ephesians 2:1-3): the flesh, the world, and evil supernaturalism.

Ephesians 6:13
We need the full armor of God. Our aim is to stand during this evil day, and the devil's aim is to cause us to quit.

Ephesians 6:14
The very first step is to have our loins girded with truth. Satan works with lies and deception; therefore, honesty and truthfulness are mandatory. The word of truth is the gospel of salvation (Ephesians 1:13). The way we grow up into him in all things is by speaking the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). The first instruction regarding putting on the new man is to put away lying and speak the truth with our neighbor (Ephesians 4:21).

Ephesians 6:14
Sinful living must be replaced with righteous living. The breastplate of righteousness is having faith that in Christ we are made to be righteous, and therefore we live rightly. We are to put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:15).

Ephesians 6:15
Those caught up in anger, contention, strife, dissensions, and factions have been pulled into wickedness. God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ have given us peace (Ephesians 1:2; 6:23). "For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us (Ephesians 2:14). Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace (Ephesians 2:15). And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh (Ephesians 2:17). We are to endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:3) and to have our feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:15)."

Matthew 5:3-9
The normal for a Christian is supposed to be peace.

Ephesians 6:16
Take up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one. We are saved by faith (Ephesians 2:8).
