How do you know what to believe? Most Christian teachers recognize the authority of the Bible, councils, and tradition. Restorationists, by contrast, believe we should continuously evaluate the decisions made by councils and the beliefs codified by tradition against the scriptures to see if they are correct. This class will teach you the Restorationist method of evaluating your beliefs step by step. You’ll learn about manuscripts, translations, and sound interpretation to build your beliefs from the ground up. We’ll also cover practical introductions to five major branches of theology: biblical theology, systematic theology, analytic theology, historical theology, and comparative theology. Regardless of your present doctrinal commitments, this class will equip you with a methodology to discern truth from error so you can shed falsehood and take on more truth with time.
