Acts 3 and 4

Acts 3:1 Ninth hour – 3 p.m. They were no longer hiding for fear of the Jews (John 20:19).

Verse 3 Seems Peter and John are seeking opportunity to speak the Gospel.

Verse 4 Peter began walking as his Lord in confidence and the power of God.

Verse 6 Peter was given the authority to use the name of Jesus Christ.

Verses 8 and 9 God, not man, was praised.

Verses 12-16 Peter knew the healing was because of Christ, and he made sure that God was glorified by deferring any attention from himself. Peter's denials (1) John 18:15-18; (2) Matthew 26:69 and 70; (3) Luke 22:58; (4) Matthew 26:71 and 72; Mark 14:69 and 70; (5) Matthew 26:73 and 74; (6) Luke 22:59 and 60; John 18:26 and 28

Acts 3:14 and 15 Peter was not concerned about offending people, rather in helping them to repent.

Verse 16 Power is in the name of Jesus Christ

Verses 17-19 The forgiveness of God was offered to the very people who demanded the death of Christ.

Verse 21 K.J.V. – "restitution;" N.A.S.B – "restoration"

Verses 22-26 The prophets wrote the Old Testament which sets the foundation for the New.

Acts 4:6 Annas and Caiaphas were the two men responsible for the crucifixion of Jesus.

Verse 12 Peter experienced a significant change in his life.

Verse 13 The confidence came with the holy spirit.

Verse 20 The command of God was for them, and us, to repent.

Verse 31 The power of prayer realized.
