Psalms 51:3&4 His concern was the rift in his relationship with God the the resultant suffering of His city, Jerusalem. He understood the impossibility of cleansing himself.

PSALMS 130:1&2 Stubbornness, pride, fear and the foolishness of man are such that we often must hit bottom before waking up to what should always be obvious WE NEED GODD'S HELP!

He understood that God was not attentive to every voice directed at Him. A proper attitude of heart along with godly behavior are required if we want God to hear and respond. Most people are humble when they find themselves in a dire situation but not all have the right mind set in approaching God for help.

NEHEMIAH 1:4-6 Solomon, Nehemiah, the psalmists, and all spiritually minded men understood the need for repentance, humility, and reverence when approaching God in prayer. They all also understood that if God responded it was due to His mercy, because all were guilty of sin.

Psalms 130:5&6 He was like the watchman who waits to be released from duty at the dawning of a new day. He had a deep-seated sense of longing, dependency and assurance. He had passion for his God.
