Psalm 107:1-3 Give thanks to Yahweh

Two reasons
1. He is good.
2. His lovingkindness is everlasting.

What follows are four stories of deliverance:
1. Lost in the wilderness
2. Lost in prison
3. Lost in sickness
4. Lost at sea

Psalm 107:4-9 Lost in the wilderness
What relief we experience once we finally get our bearings.

Has God ever delivered you from being lost?
– Then testify, and give thanks to Yahweh for His lovingkindness.

Psalm 107:10-16 Lost in prison
These people were in jail for rebelling against the words of God.

Has God ever delivered you from prison?
– Then testify and give thanks to Yahweh for His lovingkindness.

Psalm 107:17-22 Lost in sickness
Here their sin caused sickness, though this is not always the case.

Has God ever delivered you from sickness?
– Then testify, and give thanks to Yahweh for His lovingkindness.

Psalm 107:23-32 Lost at sea
The ocean can be the most humbling place on earth.

Has God ever delivered you from storms at sea?
– Then testify, and give thanks to Yahweh for His lovingkindness.

Psalm 107:33-43 God punishes the wicked and rewards the righteous.

I don’t want you to get the impression that God always delivers us as if we never suffer any pain, but many times, He does rescue us. When we experience God’s lovingkindness, we should respond. We should not keep it to ourselves, but testify, rallying in God’s steadfast love. Are you ready to testify?
