Overcomer Promises:

  • 2:7 Tree of life in the paradise of God
  • 2:11 Not hurt in the second death
  • 2:17 Hidden manna, white stone with a new name, new life
  • 2:26-29 Authority over the nations, morning star (22:16)
  • 3:5-6 White garments, book of life, confess before the Father
  • 3:11-13 Pillar in the temple of God, name of God, New Jerusalem, Jesus’ new name
  • 3:21-22 Sit on the throne of Jesus

Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 26; 3:5, 11, 21 We must overcome.
Ephesus — first love
Smyrna — faithful until death
Pergamum — desire for money and wrong doctrine
Thyatira — immorality and idolatry
Sardis — wake up
Philadelphia — keep God’s word, and do not deny His name
Laodicea — neither hot or cold; get hot

John 16:32-32 Jesus overcame the world.

1 John 2:13-14 We too can overcome.

1 John 4:4 Greater is he in you than he who is in the world.

1 John 5:4-5 We are overcomers.

Romans 8:31-39 We overwhelmingly conquer.
