Isaiah 30:18 – Yahweh longs to be gracious to you.

God is good – all the time; God is faithful – always

Romans 2:4
– Tolerance and patience

Exodus 34:6 and 7
– “Slow to anger,” “patience,” and “longsuffering” are all translations of the same Hebrew words.

Exodus 7-12
– The ten plagues; 13, fire and cloud; 14, the Red Sea is parted; 15, waters of Marah were made sweet; 16, manna; 17, water came out of the rock; 17, Amalek defeated; 19 and 20, God talks to them at Sinai; 21-31, Moses on the mountain; 32, golden calf; 33, Moses asks to see Yahweh’s glory

Ex 34: 6 and 7
God is longsuffering – astoundingly.

“Longsuffering” is an old English word with more meaning than patience because it includes tolerance, patiently enduring lasting offense or hardship, and forgiveness.

Numbers 14:17-22
Ten times in the first year, He pardoned them.

Nehemiah 9:6-31
Yahweh was remarkably longsuffering with them.

Romans 1:20-2:4
– God is patient and forgiving.

1 John 1:7-10

2 Peter 3:3-15
