Psalm 23 paints a vivid picture of a good shepherd as he faithfully loves, provides for, and protects his sheep. It helps us to understand our need to be shepherded.
Without a good shepherd, people suffer great lack and are always wanting – never content. Ezekiel 34:5; Matthew 9:36

Psalm 23:4 Yahweh watches over us 24/7. He is our refuge and strength. He guides us through times of deep darkness. Psalms 121 and 46
Psalm 23:5 Yahweh has prepared a feast for us and does not allow us to be tempted to the end that we can't partake of it. We have the abundance we need for every good deed. Deuteronomy 31:8; ICorinthians 10:13
Psalm 23:6 Yahweh is faithful and has given us the victory through Jesus Christ. Let us be stedfast and unmovable. I Corinthians 1:9 and 15:57-58
