1: Correct Mindset

Seek and You Will Find

Deuteronomy 4:29; 2 Chronicles 15:2, 4, and 15; Matthew 7:7-11.   If you seek Him, He will let you find Him. The whole reason for the Scriptures is so you can know and love your God. He wants you to know, but you must
seek Him.

Have Confidence That the Spirit Will Teach and Guide You

John 14:25-26; 16:13   Holy spirit was given to teach and guide you into the all truth. Have faith and confidence in the spirit and not in your own intellectual abilities. If you do not think you can understand on your own, you are right, but with the help of God you can. God does not want a separation between your understanding and Him.

1 Corinthians 2:12-14   God wants us to know; therefore, He gave us the spirit “so that we may know”.

Pray

Ephesians 1:18ff   Pray for God to enlighten your eyes, and He will.

Psalm 119

12 – Blessed are You, O Yahweh; teach me Your statutes.
26 – I have told of my ways, and You have answered me; teach me Your statutes.
33 – Teach me, O Yahweh, the way of Your statutes, and I shall observe it to the end.
64 – The earth is full of Your loving kindness, O Yahweh; teach me Your statutes.
66 – Teach me good discernment and knowledge, for I believe in Your commandments.
68 – You are good and do good; teach me Your statutes.
108 – O accept the freewill offerings of my mouth, O Yahweh, and teach me Your ordinances.
124 – Deal with Your servant according to Your lovingkindness and teach me Your statutes.
135 – Make Your face shine upon Your servant, and teach me Your statutes.
171 – Let my lips utter praise, for You teach me Your statutes.

Take Time to Consider

Consider what I say, for Yahweh will give you understanding in everything. 2 Timothy 2:7

Be Receptive and Willing to Change

Psalm 25:9; Acts 17:11; 1 Thessalonians 2:13   Do not conform to the religious status quo. Allow the Scriptures to speak to you and not the conventional beliefs of our times. Humility and meekness are necessary. Matthew 13:11-15   Jesus taught the humble and meek but not everyone.

Enjoy the Scriptures

Psalm 19:7-11 The law of Yahweh is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
The precepts of Yahweh are right, rejoicing the heartthe commandment of Yahweh is pure, enlightening
the eyes.
The fear of Yahweh is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of Yahweh are true; they are righteous altogether.
They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the drippings of
the honeycomb.
Moreover, by them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Him; and He vanished from their sight.
They said to one another, “Were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was explaining the Scriptures to us?”   Luke 24:31-32

You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.   Psalm 16:11
