8: New Testament Context

Context is required in order to properly understand a verse in the Bible, and there are several factors involved in determining the context. This session will focus on understanding context in the New Testament from both the Gospels and Epistles.

Context — “the parts of a written or spoken statement that precede or follow a specific word or passage, usually influencing its meaning or effect; the set of circumstances or facts that surround a particular person, event, situation, etc.”
