Oppressed - Acts 10:38 oppressed by the devil. “Oppressed” means subject to harsh and authoritarian treatment; to keep someone in subservience and hardship, especially by the unjust exercise of authority.

Faith is also required today for the suffering captives, blind, and oppressed - Ephesians 2:1-8
