Ephesians 4:1
NIV: As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.
CEV: As a prisoner of the Lord, I beg you to live in a way that is worthy of the people God has chosen to be his own.
God called you to be His own! What should our response be? To live a life worthy of that calling.
Ephesians 4:1 (Amplified): So I, the prisoner for the Lord, appeal to you to live a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called [that is, to live a life that exhibits godly character, moral courage, personal integrity, and mature behavior—a life that expresses gratitude to God for your salvation.
Paul: Acts 28:31 “He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hindrance!”
Peter & John: Acts 4:20 “As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”
