Romans 8:18-25 A clear understanding and constant focus upon the Kingdom are essential because in this age we endure suffering.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18; Psalm 73:25-28 When our focus is on the task and not the goal, life can become difficult and wearing; likewise, focus on the things seen rather than the things not seen causes weariness.
Philippians 3:7-16 To move forward, we must forget the things that are behind whether positive or negative.
Burnout, lassitude, disillusionment, apathy are commonplace when our focus is on self, others, or the world around us; whereas, refreshment, rejuvenation, and revitalization come from focus upon God, our Lord, and our hope.
1 Timothy 6:6-12 Lusting for gain in this world will also drain you. Ours is a fight but not one we do on our own. God is with us and so is Jesus.
Hebrews 6:1-8 We move forward or back but never stay the same.
Hebrews 12:1-3 Jesus is our example.
1 Peter 1:3 and 13-25 Press on. Do not give up. The reward at the end is too great, and the life we have now is rich.
