The Bible describes the antichrist in three main parts of the Bible: Daniel 7; 2 Thessalonians 2; and Revelation 13. Pulling these together, we get a lot of information about what this evil king will do.
Daniel 7:2-8, 19 The prophet Daniel had a vision of four beasts coming out of the sea. The fourth one was an unstoppable monster, destroying everything in its path.
Daniel 7:23-25 The fourth beast was a symbol, representing a kingdom with a global reach and ten kings.
Daniel 7:9-11 Thankfully Daniel also saw a judgment scene in which God sat at court and passed judgement, resulting in the destruction of the beast.
Daniel 7:13-14, 25-27 Ultimately, the kingdoms of the world will come under the Son of Man’s rule. Then the people of God will co-rule with the Son of Man over the kingdom forever.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 Paul also spoke of the antichrist figure, calling him the lawless one and providing more information. This arrogant man will enter the temple and claim to be god, something Jesus called an abomination of desolation (Mat 24:15-16, 21).
Revelation 13:1-8, 11-18 John the Revelator brought much new insight into who the antichrist will be. We learn also about the false prophet and the mark of the beast.
Although theories abound about all of this, the simple takeaway is that you should train yourself in faithfulness and discernment today. Should you live to see the awful antichrist, you will likely also live to see the true Christ coming in his glory to bring vengeance and lasting peace.
