Genesis 3:1-6 The devil accused God of lying to Eve, of holding back something from her that would make her like God. In reality, he was the liar. He is the deceiver and the accuser. With his lies, he endeavors to render ineffective the impact of God’s powerful life-giving words.
Revelation 12:10 He is the great accuser of God and man.
Zechariah 3:1 and 2 He is present to accuse and cause doubt, fear, and unbelief.
Genesis 4:1-8 Sin is waiting to attack you, longing to destroy you, but you can conquer it.
Genesis 6 Also, a problem for us is the world − that is both the physical world and the people in our world.
2Corinthians 11:3 As the serpent deceived Eve, so he can deceive us too. We must learn to withstand or stand when confronted with the devil, sin, and the world.

Matthew 4:1-11 Jesus responded with “It is written.” We will never be directly confronted with the devil, but we will be constantly confronted with evil thoughts that tempt and accuse.
- Be alert; you are in a battle.
- Be prepared for attacks. This preparation includes honestly looking at your weakness and knowing the Scripture that confronts it.
- Pray, asking God for help, looking to Jesus for help.
- Act quickly, decisively, and biblically.
- Have confidence, and keep it simple. Ephesians 4:21ff
