Matthew 6:19-34 If we are worried about our lives rather than trusting in God, something is very wrong with the core of our belief system. We have the responsibility to work and steward our financial resources, but trust must always be the underlining motivation.

We must be honest with ourselves and evaluate our behavior. How much time do we spend working? How much time do you spend worrying about your finances? Do you allow work to dominate your time so that God is not first? Do you tithe? Do you gamble?

1 Timothy 6:10-12
The love of money is the root of all sorts of evil! Both those who have a lot and those who do not have enough are tempted with the love of money. Demons can find a way in to occupy us if we are not wise.

Hebrews 13:5
Trusting in God frees us from this very common bondage. God said what He meant.

Deuteronomy 31:1-8
Do we believe this?

Hebrews 13:6; Psalms 118:1-9

Proverbs 3:5-10
Many people have been raised to be fearful regarding their well-being because of things their parents constantly shouted out. “Turn the lights out, or we will end up in the poorhouse!” Children become fearful and believe their destiny is the poorhouse. Some people grew up always feeling less than the other children because they did not have nice things and vowed they would not live in poverty. Some as children did not have enough and believed this was their lot in life. The Bible is true and not these memories.

Malachi 3:1-12
Did God overstate the importance of the tithe? If you do not tithe, you will not enjoy these blessings. “Then I will rebuke the devourer….” Would you rather do it on your own?

Joel 1:1-20
